Nayuma Women's Co-Operative Society
Nayuma Women's Co-Operative Society, Sikkim which was established in
2001 to provide opportunity for self-employment and self-empowerment for
rural and urban educated-unemployed women of Sikkim. It has completed
three years of its fruitful existence and in this short period, the
society has established its business centers in Gangtok, Namchi and
Jorthang to market the products in the state. The society has also
participated in many trade fairs organized in different states of the
country.

Popular products of the society are computerized machine embroidery
items, school and police uniform! badges, traditional dresses, apron,
pot-holder, tray-mats, bed sheets, pillow cases, cushion covers, hand
bags, traditional wall hangings, monograms, block printing, painting,
Batik painting, handloom weaving, traditional home made pickles etc.

Only selected and high quality materials are being used in the
manufacture of the above items. Designs are mostly ethnic, traditional
and drawn from the rich heritage of the state. Modern techniques of
production have been adopted wherever applicable. The prices are most
reasonable and every product comes with a seal of warranty as far as
dye, manufacture and materials used are concerned.
